Technology transformation Business Case, implementation plan and implementation kick off for a large Government Department

An initiative to revise the incumbent Operating Model applicable to the SAP Finance / Procurement (S/4HANA) and SAP Payroll / Rostering (Payroll), function of a large government department, via a Business Case and Implementation Plan.

Evaluation of the maturity of the current operating model, to identify areas of opportunity, outlining a future state operating model to drive the transformation from the current state model to a fit-for-purpose sustainable model.

Opportunities were identified to strengthen the governance and performance of the function, and to better align service delivery to customer and departmental needs

This information provided the foundation for developing an Action Plan that would increase the function’s efficiency, right size costs and focus on business satisfaction. In
doing so, the function will elevate its performance on the maturity scale to Trusted Operator with an aspiration of becoming a Business Partner.
